TONIGHT AT 7:00 PM ET: Can libertarian feminists form alliances across the political spectrum? What about libertarians more broadly?
@shikhadalmia, @Br1anna_Coyle, @cFidd, @ENBrown, & @KatMurti discuss in an @FeministLiberty panel.
I’m biased here, but watching this rn, and you should log on! @shikhadalmia is right now speaking and it’s very compelling
Something actually said by a Fox host right now: "What killed more people, the people at the Capitol or communists? Think about that."
If we want to generalize, the actual one to one is comparing communists to the general category of which the people at the Capitol were apart, which is the “far right,” and I think there’s a body count as well on that slice of the political spectrum
I’ve always doubted the idea that there would be enough GOP support to convict. But I also think the ceiling of gettable Republican votes would’ve been higher earlier on instead of just the five who are seemingly left today
They managed to read the polling of Republican support for Trump in the time since, among other factors
Why didn’t Biden call on reporters himself yesterday instead of having his staff do it? That’s not the norm, for sure. The only good reason I can think of is he can’t remember the names of the reporters covering him, and doesn’t want 2b embarrassed getting someone’s name wrong.
Replying to @tomscocca: Imagine a White House press staff covering up for a mentally defective president
More big news here: The # of Covid cases among the troops is likely MUCH higher than we've been told. Recent mass testing is coming back 10-15% positive.
“That percentage may not extrapolate out to the entire force, but it is a pretty good indicator of where things are headed."
there’s a part of the book by @lachlan & me that probs won’t get excerpted anywhere, but i have a soft spot for it: President Trump would repeatedly derail WH/policy conversations he was having w/ Reince Priebus to ask him if Wisconsin badgers were mean to people & what they ate
